A Splendid Exchange: How Trade Shaped the World

Since it is a relatively slow trade law news day, I thought I would give you something to add to your summer reading list.

The most recent edition of The Economist gives a good review to the the book A Splendid Exchange: How Trade Shaped the World, a history of world trade, written by financial theorist William J. Bernstein.

The book's Introduction is available online, compliments of Atlantic Monthly Press. You can also read the reviews of the book published in Foreign Affairs and The New York Times (which called the book "splendid") here and here. You can find A Splendid Exchange in stock at Amazon.com and in book stores around the country.
