U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and has announced that it collected $510.6 million in duties and fees in April 2006 through the Automated Commercial Environment's (ACE) monthly payment feature. This represents 25 percent of all duties and fees collected by CBP.

ACE is the commercial trade processing system being developed by CBP to enhance border security and expedite trade. Importers and customs brokers participating in ACE can pay duties and fees monthly, instead of on a transaction-by-transaction basis.
