South African Resident Sentenced for Trafficking in Nuclear Detonators and Other Commodities Controlled for Nuclear Non-Proliferation Reasons
On August 4, 2005, Asher Karni, of Cape Town, South Africa, was sentenced to 36 months in federal prison for his role in a scheme to export controlled oscilloscopes and triggered spark gaps to Pakistan.
