U.S. Imports of Chinese Textiles Surged in January 2005

The international Herald Tribune reports in Thursday's edition that exports of textiles from China to the U.S. exceeded all predictions since textile quotas were lifted on January 1, 2005. The article reports that in January 2005, China shipped more apparel in certain categories, such as cotton trousers, than it had in the previous year and a half.
