Steel Buying Firms Seek End to Import Duties

An article published today on Purchasing.com notes that the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) is supporting the sunset of the antidumping duty order on hot-rolled steel from Japan, Brazil and Russia. The PMA is the second steel-consuming industry group to complain recently about U.S. steel tariffs, as a recent study issued by the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association concluded that high steel prices are adversely affecting the U.S. automotive parts industry.
