DOC Issues Amended Final Determination in Antidumping Case on Wooden Bedroom Furniture From China

The U.S. Departent of Commerce has published a notice in the Federal Register containing the amended final determination and antidumping order in the antidumping investigation on wooden bedroom furniture from the People's Republic of China. As a result of ministerial errors found in the calculations that were used in reaching the final determination, DOC lowered the rate for certain mandatory respondents. As a result, the dumping margin calcualated for the Section A respondents decreased from 8.64% to 6.65%. In addition, DOC also determined that several additional companies qualified for separate-rate status.

DOC will soon instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to continue to suspend liquidation of all entries of subject furniture from China (except for entries of Markor International Furniture (Tianjin) Manufacture Co., Ltd. since that company received a de minimis margin). DOC will also instruct CBP to require a cash deposit equal to the estimated amount by which the normal value exceeds the U.S. price for each exporter.
